Philippine Word Of the Year, What's Your Bet?

Popularity is the main basis in proclaiming the Word of the Year. "The most important of course is that no matter what you do, it's the most spoken word by the majority", said Virgilio Almario, chairman of National Artist for Literature.
The nomination for the choices was made by professors, language experts and students from different schools.
