Having the beauty of a Filipina and the word "Princess" in her name may have cause some Asian Games organizers mistaken her as a real Filipino royal blood.
This has caused panic to some Asian Games organizers and even become apologetic for what they have thought was a diplomatic lapse.
According to Ricardo Garcia, Philippines chef de mission in the Asian Games, h received an unexpected courtesy call from an Incheon Asian Games Organizing Committee (IAGOC) official who apologized because they felt that they made an error in not being able to recognize a princess from the Philippines.
He then assured them that there was no oversight on their part. He then added that Princess is one of Philippines' hope for a gold medal in the Asian Games and not a princess of any part in the Philippines but a princess of the Philippine team.
