Teen saved from a possible life threatening accident with the help of something extraordinary, Siri, the personal assistant app of iPhone.
Sam Ray, 18, of Murfreesboro, Tennesee was trapped under his truck after the jack fell apart while his working alone, July 2, in their family's home. He yelled for help but no one came. Fortunately, he gained hope when he heard Siri from his phone which is in his back pocket. He then used his hip to activate the feature and after asking Siri for several times to call 911, he heard a dispatcher's voice.
Watch the report below.
Siri is the intelligent personal assistant that helps you get things done just by asking. It allows you to use your voice to send messages, schedule meetings, place phone calls, and more. But Siri isn't like traditional voice-recognition software that requires you to remember keywords and speak specific commands, a brief description of the app by Apple.
According to Sam, he was never fond of the app but that changed when the app played an important role in saving his life. He was also thankful to the emergency responders for quick response.
